About Ella Cole
A traveling songstress hailing from the small mountain town of Bozeman, Montana, USA, Ella Rae Cole draws inspiration from the vast nature of her home, as well as the landscape of her inner world of emotion. Her songs of love, sorrow, and abstract dreams are intimate in their raw vulnerability, creating a unique and heartfelt storytelling experience for audiences around the world. Recognizable by her warm, haunting voice, guitar plucking in alternate tunings, Bossa Nova-esque rhythms, and folk roots, listeners may be reminded of artists such as Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, and Feist. Ella’s debut EP, Willow, was recorded and produced in 2018 by Paul Durham (of the band Black Lab) in his home studio in Bozeman.Willow has connected audiences at festivals, bars, and campfires from Thailand to Georgia, to Estonia, and across Montana. Ella is currently based in Bozeman and travels around Montana playing her music to sold out venues, outdoor folk festivals, and empty bars alike.
